Über dieses Hörbuch

It's five months since the nightmare Year Six school trip to Crater Lake and something has gone very wrong in Lance's home town of Straybridge. There's been an explosion at the university, a mysterious test creature is missing and no one is allowed in or out of the town. On top of this, Lance has lost touch with his friends since starting at his new school. And now his mum has been acting strangely since they started decorating the Christmas tree. As he goes door to door trying to reunite his team, Lance realises how bad things have got. Now he, Katja, Max, Chets and Ade, plus new friend Karim, must think bigger and bolder if they are to save their families. But there's something else out there too ... something straight out of their nightmares.

Autoren-Profil

Jennifer Killick lives in London, in a house full of animals, children and Pokemon. When she isn't busy being a mum or stepmum (which isn't often) she loves to read, write and run, as fast as she can. Growing up she kept so many books hidden in her bed for reading after lights out, that there was scarcely any room for her! She wanted to be a writer since she was at secondary school, but didn't start for real until she enrolled on a Creative Writing MA at Brunel University, followed by a course with Golden Egg Academy. Her favourite things are books, trees and fluffy slippers and her favourite place in the world is her home, where she can sit at the end of her garden, by the river, with tea and cake, coming up with story ideas in her pyjamas.

Australian actor Laurence Boxhall graduated from NIDA and went on to perform in Melbourne Theatre Company’s enormously successful 2019 production of Shakespeare in Love. He was also the Gen Z captain in Channel Nine’s popular Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation, with Shaun Micallef. He was also main-cast in the ABC’s hilarious Ronny Chieng: International Student. Other credits include a recurring role in Neighbours and the web series Dave and Theo. Laurence is a highly skilled voiceover artist, having narrated a number of audiobooks, including The Grunts series by Philip Ardagh for which Laurence was named one of the ten Best New Voices in 2020 by The Publishers Association in the UK.
