I thought this story was very complex and moving. I felt for Rose who thought her grandfather would leave his farm to her only to be told there was a condition appended to the will. I felt for Angus who was put into a very stressful situation as Rose's grandfather had never mentioned the condition to her. My attention was absorbed by all the surprising twists in the story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I enjoyed Lucy Goleby's narration.
