About this audiobook

It is hard to find a moment in “Jake and the Giants” when the heroes Jake and his sister Joanie are not bravely trying to rescue their parents and the other villagers from the Lord Fe and his monkey army. Ever lusting for told and treasure, the giant brothers raided Shiloh and made off with everyone old enough to work in their gold mines. A wisely owl advises the two small and unlikely rescuers to search for the bird Whitey and ask for wisdom to complete the rescue without themselves being kidnapped. He gives them dream root as well that serves them well and bolsters them with courage.

It is not an easy trek, the giant's mountain gold mine is a day’s journey away and they have to deal with snakes, wolves, hunger and the current of cold fast moving river. The story moves at a fast pace and before you know it you are drug into the magical world of singing beavers, magical vines and a brutal flying monkey army. The audio book is based on the musical film Jake and the Giants, directed by Sonic alumni Kent Butterworth.
