Andrew O'Hagan is a Scottish writer and novelist and is one of the most exciting and well-respected chroniclers of contemporary Britain. His novel Our Fathers (1999) was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and his novels Be Near Me (2006) and The Illuminations (2015) were both longlisted for the Booker Prize. His novel Personality won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize in 2003, the same year O'Hagan was voted one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists. He has won the Los Angeles Times Book Award and the E. M. Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts & Letters. Andrew O’Hagan lives in London and his latest book is Caledonian Road (2024).
