A rejected mate, an enemy packs future alpha, a mysterious sickness. Wolf of Ash is a wolf shifter novella with a touch of magic and romance. I liked this audiobook and am interested enough to continue the series. I have so many questions left unanswered. Is Talia more then a wolf shifter? Was Maddox actually her fated mate? Can wolf shifter's only have one fated mate? What is this unknown sickness? What did Talia's dad do to have him killed and her banished? This is the first shifter romance I have finished with a rejected mate trope, and I found I really enjoyed that aspect. I am interested in knowing Maddox's reaction when he realizes the enemy pack has his ex fated mate.

After 4.5hrs of listening to this book I feel like not much actually happened. This story had the potential to be so much more but was filled with way too much filler for me. As a fantasy reader I'm left frustrated at how slow paced the book was.

One of the best wolf shifter stories I have enjoyed in a long time. Amelia Shaw is definitely a great writer and one of my favorite authors
