Imagine Lewis Carroll’s blonde heroine Alice Liddell, transplanted from her Victorian milieu to our rather more complicated era. She’s the spoiled daughter of a minor Hollywood starlet too self-involved to give her child the guidance she needs. However, when at 22 and finally on her own, Alice’s impulsive ways return, and with her life a wreck, she’s rescued by her uncle and his new bride, becoming subjected their total immersion disciplinary treatment.
