About this audiobook

Murder is part of the curriculum at an exclusive school for girls in Agatha Christie’s Cat Among the Pigeons, as the intrepid Poirot sets out to bring a stealthy killer to justice.

Late one night, two teachers investigate a mysterious flashing light in the sports pavilion while the rest of the school sleeps. There, among the lacrosse sticks, they stumble upon the body of an unpopular games mistress—shot through the heart point-blank.

This one starts out a bit like Christie's more generic mysteries, with some vague international intrigue focused on a fictional monarch and revolution. Most of the story is then spent at a private school for girls as murders happen and people search for a MacGuffin there. The reader will figure out the location of the MacGuffin wayyyyy before the characters, which is a weakness. Still, the general mystery of who is doing the killing and whom they might work for is interesting and fun. Poirot only comes in at the very end, but I like how he becomes involved. Even if this book isn't top-tier Poirot, it's plenty of fun overall.
