A Lost Treasure of Cinema uncovers the mystery behind The Story of the Kelly Gang, the world’s first feature film, engagingly blending history and intrigue. The story is compelling and well-researched, perfect for film lovers. However, the digital voice narration feels a bit flat and robotic, which takes away from the emotional impact. Still, it’s an interesting listen for anyone curious about lost films and early cinema.

A Lost Treasure of Cinema is book #2 in the GKP Lost Treasure Series by Grant Kelly. This was an interesting, informative story about the early days of cinematography and how early works were lost. There is a modern day treasure hunt to find the missing early works to preserve a piece of history. I listened to the audio version of this book. It was interesting to learn something new. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I really enjoyed this short, but informative story about the loss of one of the first featured films produced in Australia in the year 1906. I liked learning about the history of film making and the search to find this treasure. It inspired the hope in myself, that maybe someday, it may be found. I thought the digital voice Mary G was easy to follow and understand, and the diction was clear. I was given a copy of the audiobook.
