The FUTÁR application by BKK Centre for Budapest Transport has been renewed under the name BudapestGO, which, in addition to real-time route planning, has been extended with new functions: you can buy digital single tickets, daily and weekly travelcards or passes in the application and you can also be informed immediately about the current transport service changes. You can use the route planner with a cleaner and clearer interface, facilitated by a number of new features.

New features in the app:
- Ticket and pass purchase, journey planning in a single app
- Digital single ticket now also available
- Automatic pass renewal
- Traffic information (BKK Info application integrated)
- Personalised transport updates via push message

TL;DR: The app is really slow and the interface is confusing. You can only buy ticket before planning the route. Payment didn't work with 3D Secure card. After buying the ticket you have to do the plan route all over again. You also have to start over after activating the ticket, including every transfer. The app crashes after a few seconds when using the camera to scan the code to validate the ticket or transfer. To make all this worse the app is slow pn a fairly new mid-range phone.

Sajnáljuk, ha csalódtál a BudapestGO-ban. Hamarosan lehetőség lesz az applikációban egy gombbal váltani az utazástervezés és a jegyérvényesítés / jegy-, bérletbemutatás között. Az összeomlás kapcsán viszont kérjük, hogy jelentsd a hibát a telefonod megrázásával, hogy fejlesztőink megvizsgálhassák, a te telefonodon mi a hiba oka.

There is always room for improvement, but in general a very decent app. I would welcome if the passes could be added to Google/Apple Wallet. If the National Gallery was able to do it, then I assume this app should be able to as well.

Firstly, as a tourist, I appreciate all the crews in Budapest helping out in the public transport, so that everything works smoothly However, this app is not tourist friendly. I have no way to present a BKK related ID when I wish to order a 24 or 72 hour travel pass Most importantly, I am really confused with the eligibility to use the add-on for the 1000 UHF route 100E ticket to travel to the airport with a valid travelpass, and I was requested to purchase 4*2500 UHF tickets on site instead

To purchase a pass, you will also need an ID number, which can be your driver's license number or even your passport number. The add-on airport shuttle bus single ticket is available only in BudapestGO to holders of a valid digital or paper Budapest-pass (except 15-day), Pest County Pass or Hungary Pass.
