It's incredibly annoying to get two pop-ups every time I open the app, about some feature I never plan to use. They take a while to load up, too, so I can't even close them immediately. Otherwise, there are plenty of features here to take advantage of your audio device, though also some missing, like setting what individual taps do for earbuds; you can only pick from one of two sets

Tries to be fancy with audio device switching, but it's a constant dumpster fire. The headset is always connected to a random variety of my devices, with audio/mic/phone/music randomly allocated between all of them, with no clear or easy control of which device gets what. And even if you get it stable on one device, once you switch to sheer another, the house of cards crumbles. So much easier before we had apps. And how come the Sony headphones app isn't called "Sony headphones"? Hard to find.

Cannot perform any software updates on my Headphones Sony WH-1000XM5. The app keeps telling me "disconnect to update software", I do that, and nothing happens! then when reconnecting I keep getting popups telling me the update has failed cos I need to disconnect. Been doing this for the last 6 months or so. Today there is also a pretty disturbing reverb in the headphones when I listen to anything. Is expect excellence from premium headphones and accompanying app, this isn't the case.
