Be aware that the claim"zero cost - completely free forever" disguises a $7 paywall that locks away content. Regardless of limits of free aspects & being miffed re: claim, I'm updating after some play. Technically, similar to many simple quizzes. Yet, novel format (not fun, IMO) *can* evoke a sort of lateral, recollection & retention compared with static text. Unexpectedly, audible tones are often registering with me clearly here. Considerably helpful for brief review of basics. Works offline.

I love it, the only inconvenience: you can not save your progress. So if you delete the app, you change your phone or just reset it and reinstall everything again, you will have to start from the bottom to unlock everything again. At least it works as a review of all the content, but these days an app without a way to backup your data, it's just useless in the long run. Despite all that...it is a really entertaining app and you can choose if you wish to see the chinese or pinyin characters.

Such a cute way to learn and review some Chinese vocabulary! There aren't a whole lot of categories, but it's a great start! Selecting the correct options when the meteors fall is a clever way to keep learners engaged. I'm always on the lookout for less traditional, less boring ways to study, and I'm happy to have found this one and add it to my learning repetoire!
