About this game

Forks & Words is a fast, delightful mash-up of crossword and minesweeper. A cheerful forklift dashes through a jungle of crates—some hide letters, some hide booms. Your job: reveal every letter without running out of lives!

How it plays

Tap any cell; the forklift zips to that crate and reveals what’s inside.

Letters fill the crossword; empty cells are mines.

You start with 3 extra lives. Hit a mine? You’ll lose one and that crate becomes a burnt crate (no popup).

No lives left and you tap a mine? Boom—game over.

Cells where across & down words cross are revealed by default for a fair start.

Why you’ll love it

🎯 Smart twist on crosswords: Pure word logic with minesweeper tension.

🎨 Bold comic look: Hand-crafted, jungle-adventure vibe with a friendly forklift.

🎵 Satisfying audio: Tap, move, reveal, boom, win—each with crisp sound cues and a gentle BGM loop.

🏁 Local leaderboard: Race the clock and climb the top 20—name prompt if you crack the top 10.

⚡ Snappy feel: Whip-slide transitions, animated sprite, and a slick progress splash.

🧭 Built-in “How to Play”: Tips and rules, themed to match the game.

📶 Play offline: No account needed; leaderboard is device-local.
