Couldn't find appropriate simple month widget, so i decided to build/tune one myself.
- Create your colour scheme to match your theme! (Premium)
- Show circular colour events (Premium)
- Choose one of premade 10 themes (Transparent, Dark, Light, Google, iOS, Sense, KitKat, Shades, Material Dark and Light)
- Select First day of week
- Highlight Saturday and Sunday
- Resizable to 3 different layouts
- Multiple instances of widget supported
- Mark days with events
- Open calendar app on day tap
- No Adds or notifications
- Completely Free
- Open settings by taping on month
- Themes can be rendered as transparent

Exactly what I have been looking for. Simple calendar widget that can placed on the screen and toggle between months. It's appealing; not too busy with colors and other nonsense. It's customizable (i.e. layout - change color of the calendar, decide if the weekends are highlighted, change the first day of the week). There is also calendar integration, but I don't need that and haven't used it.

All I wanted was a simple monthly view widget with the ability to disable any accidental taps which on other apps will open the calendar. This one fits the bill for me, very happy with it. It would be even nicer to have a more compact option as well with bigger numbers. Right now, there is a gap in between the numbers, which is a waste of real estate. Also would be nicer to be able to make the month header smaller/re-sizeable Apart from that, very happy with it. Will use for few days, if decide to keep, then will pay to support the developer.

I finally figured out what is going on after the app after the last update. It was completely unresponsive I knew I was going to miss appointments. There is a new widget option you must open. If course I had to pay $0.99 to set up the same colors I had before under the custom template. Please add an option to enlarge the font size option cause this is so tiny! Also I only found the settings on accident by tapping the month. Please also add a settings gear symbol cause that was not funny.
