Set in a realm of eternal night, Grim Omens puts the player in the shoes of a fledgling vampire, a creature of blood and darkness struggling to maintain the grip on their fading humanity in a mysterious and hostile world.
The game combines classic dungeon crawling elements, familiar turn-based combat mechanics, and various tabletop and board game influences to create an immersive and accessible old-school RPG experience.
The 3rd entry in the Grim series, Grim Omens, is a standalone sequel to Grim Quest. It refines the established formula of Grim Quest and Grim Tides, all the while offering an intricate story and detailed lore that ties in with previous games in strange and unexpected ways.

Brilliant. The setup is the same as the older two, but you play as a vampire, which puts a nice spin on things. I love these games. You do a dungeon crawl which lasts about ten minutes then you are back to your town to sell loot, buff up your skills and spells and do your crafting etc. There is a story line, but if you just enjoy hitting things in dungeons you can do that to.

Enjoying it a lot more than the previous games. There are a few issues though: 1) Successfully asking for tribute in Fur and Fury event does not give us the item. It shows the item but it is not sent to our inventory. 2) Catalyst is a bit too rare considering how necessary it is for making potions. I am on 3rd region, already completed the first 2 till level 30 and so far I have recieved only 4 catalysts. 3) Lack of content/Repetition. Would like more stuff to do. The rest is good.

another great game in the series with improvements to the combat system. however, the skill system is complicated and wasnt well explained. and there is major immersion issues. the void is written to be east of the marsh when Lynchgate is east. also half moons and eclipse is only possible if the sun still exists

Minor spoilers: the moons are a manifestation of duality of a certain characters mind, conjured and maintained by the Dark, they are not physical objects, so the rules of real world physics don't don't really apply. The east west error is probably my careless mistake :)
