For the last couple of months, RCS constantly turns itself off, then switches to "Setting up", and then turns back on. This happens multiple times a day, and makes the app borderline unusable. Even worse, sometimes texts aren't being delivered to me! I've tried a myriad of things to fix it, but at this time I'm going to need to find a new messaging app.

if I see "playback operation failed" one more time after I finish making a voice memo for someone I'm gonna lose my mind. if you can't make the recording work, don't start the process. as someone who thinks by talking, it is infuriating to have thoughts erased by a buggy app. UPDATE: the response to my review is asinine. i know how to make a recording. the issue is that the file is not saving/converting to be sendable or recoverable. I've had to switch to other messaging apps to send recordings

Hi, Jeremy. Google Messages now uses an audio wave icon located to the right of the text input box for launching a new voice recorder UI. Also we ask that you submit feedback within the Messages app by clicking the Menu > Help and Feedback > Send Feedback.

Absolutely garbage. Updated my messages by accident, and I hate everything about this app, but I can't go back to my old message app now. I hate the layout, the format, the fonts, emoji, everything. It's been a few months now, and the app has to be updated CONSTANTLY. App also likes to freeze my phone, and is a constant issue. Maybe it's because I still have an S21? I have the S25+ on order, but based on other reviews, I don't think that will solve my issues.
