nice depth layers (best I've seen in Holland). am now using the trial version, only thing holding me back is the amount you have to zoom in to show the depth (shallow area: 1m, depth shading: 2m). That's not doable to navigate or plan a route on Dutch waters. Is the vector rendering quality better when you purchase the app or download the map? tried downloading, but doesn't work in the trial version.

*Edit for Nav's response- You're shooting yourselves in the foot. The app is COMPLETELY useless now without a subscription. You're going to lose new customers that don't know what the app CAN do, you'll lose old customers like me that will not pay $50. I used to upgrade just for satellite view. At least give the Government contours in the free version. Been using Nav for close to 15 years but I don't need it in the boat. I have a graph. DNR website has lake depth maps to replace what yours does.

Mixed feelings. It's one of the best out there, but downloading maps is very slow (even on 500Mb conn), and to download all, you must select very small areas one by one. I spent a full afternoon just getting the Mediterranean. But the real problem is that details disappear too quickly when zooming out, it's so badly drawn that a kid can do a better job. These are vector maps. Allow us to play with the defaults, so that on high end phones and iPads we can use that computing power to see details.

Abel-We have this suggestion (one-shot download) in place, however, we cannot guarantee if/when this may be implemented. You can download your maps in small portions at a time: https://tinyurl.com/3c4kcbuh For help, write us from your App Menu > Submit Feedback or to [email protected], ref. What's new
The update introduces display of possible hazards along the route path in the detail screen and adds notifications for hazards during navigation and for possible collisions when connected to AIS devices.
