A strong issue is that the app has a very frustrating tendency to flash ads for whatever comic it thinks should be read, even if it's strongly not to your taste. These ads also take you to the comic, with only a tiny 'X' to close it. Even with a stylus, it feels extremely imprecise to close, so you tend to get stories added to your list without wanting them at all, and should be fixable by just adding in a "take me there!" button. This makes it feel like a disingenuous way to drive up numbers.

I left a great review & rating years ago when I first downloaded the app. Not anymore. I hate the new interface. It's too busy and overwhelming, it's hard to find things, and isn't intuitive. At first, it was just the main page, but now it's every sub page, including the comics themselves. Why "fix" something that was never broken? On top of that, like ppl have said for years now, there're no worthwhile events that don't require payment, no coins to win, perma-locked chapters... Really downhill.

The new UI is congested and not intuitive at all. The front page is restrictive and offers nothing new. The episode index is terrible to look at, and the story feature is as cringeworthy as it is unnecessary. The overall vibe of the app alone is a major turn-off. If it weren't for Nevermore, I would've uninstalled by now.
